Zhongzhou

Zhongzhou is the primary and most populated map in Myth of Empires: Throne. It is where all players begin each season and where the majority of early-to-mid game activity takes place. The map features six distinct biomes arranged roughly from center-outward: plains (center), mountains (northwest/northeast), snowfields (far north), desert (south), rainforest (southeast), and swamp (west).

Central Plains — Best starter biome. Flat terrain, easy horse taming, and good early metal nodes.

Rainforest (Southeast) — Dense canopy reduces visibility. Rich in rare organic crafting materials.

Swamp (West) — Best Clay source on the map. Poison risk from swamp creatures. Often contested for Clay.

Strategy: Zhongzhou's central plains counties are the most contested in Phases 1–2 due to their accessibility and horse spawns. The mountain biome counties become more valuable in Phase 2 when Iron Ore demand peaks. Control of the Swamp biome's Clay deposits gives a significant construction advantage in early fortification races.
